Job summary

EverTrue in Missouri is seeking a dining server to perform upscale dining service and keep dining areas clean and well-organized. You will take and serve orders, greet guests, and ensure items meet quality standards.

The role requires 1–3 years of fine dining or country club experience, knowledge of allergens and menu details, and strong communication and teamwork. Benefits reflect a comprehensive program for part- or full-time staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year (preferably 2–3) of waiting in a fine dining or country club venue.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow recipes, diet orders and resident preferences.
  • Willingness to perform routine tasks with interruptions and be patient with residents and staff.
  • Develop constructive relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and service orientation.
  • Active listening and effective communication abilities.
  • Willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working in St. Louis County.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service reflecting an upscale dining experience.
  • Take and serve food/beverage orders timely and accurately.
  • Greet guests with courtesy; address dissatisfaction promptly.
  • Know menu details, allergens, and describe preparation to guests.
  • Make recommendations and share menu information with customers.
  • Maintain full knowledge of drink recipes for the POS system.
  • Serve 16+ guests at a time and recall orders as requested.
  • Check food quality and correct issues affecting guest enjoyment.
  • Perform dining service setup, buffets, prep beverages, salads and desserts.
  • Assist with receiving/storing food and ensuring proper temperatures and timely service.
  • Assist cleanup and maintain dining areas; bus tables, clean, and restock as needed.

In this work environment, all team members are part of a community and appreciated by the people they work with – residents and coworkers – every day.SummaryPerforms the functions of a dining server in an upscale dining atmosphere, as well as a variety of dining service functions including maintaining clean, sanitary and organized conditions of dining areas, facilities and equipment. May assist in some aspects of food preparation.Responsibilities1. Provide excellent customer services that promotes satisfaction and is reflective of an upscale dining experience2. Take and serve food/beverage orders timely and appropriately that is reflective of an upscale dining experience3. Greet customers with courtesy and friendliness, making quick decisions to address dissatisfied customers when needed4. Know all details of the menu including description, which items contain allergens, and able to describe to guest how each items is prepared and cooked5. Make recommendations or share additional information with customers regarding the menu6. Have full knowledge of all drink recipes to enter into computer software 7. Serve 16 or more guests at a time; Recall orders upon request by guest8. Check products for quality and correct any problems that may prevent a guest from enjoying their visit9. Perform defined work routines, using various dining service utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned10. Assist with any and all aspects for dining service set-up, including dining room and tables/placings set-up, stocking buffets and serve station, preparing beverages, salads and desserts and other food items as instructed and in accordance with recipes, and assistance at catering events.11. Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, ensuring all foods are served at proper temperatures and on time.12. Assist with any and all aspects of clean-up to ensure all dining service areas are maintained in accordance with policies and standards by completing daily cleaning duties, busing tables, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming, washing dishes, removing trash, stocking and storing items correctly and keeping all dining service work areas clean.Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.1. Must be able to withstand exposure to temperature and humidity changes as in entering refrigerated storage areas, working at ovens, ranges, dish-washing machines, and at steam tables. This employee must be free from infections or diseases.
