Job summary

The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, MI seeks an experienced server to provide attentive, guest-centered service in a fine dining setting. You will handle orders, POS transactions, upsell specials, coordinate with kitchen and bar, and maintain a polished dining room while delivering Forbes-style service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of fine dining experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate with guests in English.

Responsibilities

• Take guest orders and ensure proper presentation and timing of food and beverages.
• Open/close guest checks with proper cash handling procedures.
• Work with computerized POS systems and coordinate with kitchen and expediters.
• Communicate specials and substitutions clearly to guests and staff.
• Upsell to increase check average and provide exceptional service.
