Job summary

CoralTree Hospitality's Black Desert Resort in Southern Utah seeks a Server Assistant for Basalt, our signature fine dining venue. You will maintain dining areas, assist service flow, and support guests with attentive, polished service in a luxury setting.

Reporting to the Basalt General Manager, you will greet guests, present menus, explain specials, and coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure flawless delivery of courses and wine pairings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and guest service skills.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, ingredients, and formal dining etiquette.
• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• Professional, polished appearance and a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide an exceptional fine dining experience from start to finish.
• Present menus, explain daily specials, and offer recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the menu, wine list, and pairing options.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and input into the POS system.
• Serve multiple courses with precision and timing, following fine dining standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless delivery of food and drinks.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and resolve service concerns professionally.
• Set and reset tables, ensuring perfect place settings, glassware and linens.
• Adhere to health, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards.
• Assist with closing duties and maintaining a clean dining room.

The Server Assistant at Basalt Restaurant supports the front-of-house team by maintaining the dining area, assisting with service flow, and ensuring guest satisfaction through prompt, attentive support. Reporting to the Basalt General Manager, this position helps maintain the high standards of service expected in a fine dining environment.

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time

Pay Rate: $14.00/hour plus tips. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
