Job summary

IAM Hospitality's Norte Restaurant in New York is seeking a Server Assistant to support our Front of House team, ensuring smooth service and an exceptional guest experience. You will help maintain the dining area, assist servers, and uphold our high standards of hospitality.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of restaurant experience, willingness to work nights and weekends, and a solid understanding of health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years previous experience as a Server Assistant, Busser, or similar restaurant role.
• Experience in Fine Dining and Mexican restaurants is a plus.
• Strong understanding of restaurant etiquette and sequence of service.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including allergy protocols.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility in work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a clean and organized dining area throughout service.
• Set tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, and dishes.
• Clear plates and reset tables for the next guests.
• Keep service stations clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Maintain effective communication with all team members throughout service.
• Assist the Server team with any additional tasks as needed.
• Maintain health and safety regulations in all kitchen and dining areas.
