Job summary

Transwestern seeks a Server Assistant in Houston to support the dining team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will clear and reset tables, assist in delivering food and beverages with precision, and maintain a clean, well-stocked service area.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2–3 years in hotel or fine dining, wine/spirits knowledge, and strong English communication. Able to lift up to 50 pounds; flexible hours including evenings and weekends; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Food handlers certification within 60 days, if applicable.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and mixology is required.
• Understanding of health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• English communication; Spanish an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset tables promptly according to standards.
• Maintain knowledge of dining room layout and service flow.
• Ensure tableware and linens are clean, polished, and placed correctly.
• Assist in delivering food and beverages with accuracy and elegance.
• Monitor and refill water, coffee, and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Keep service station clean, organized, and stocked.
• Comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff and hosts.
• Attend pre-service meetings and briefings.
• Shift work, overtime, and on-call duties may be required.
