Job summary

Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Cary, NC is seeking a prep cook to support the kitchen by preparing, portioning and assembling food items to meet recipe standards. You will maintain station readiness and assist the team to ensure a superior guest experience.

Responsibilities include following prep lists, maintaining sanitation, communicating with supervisors, and helping with closing duties as needed. Night and weekend availability is required in this fast-paced, upscale dining environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a prep cook in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
• Experience with fresh products preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and guests.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, prepare and assemble all food items for service.
• Maintain station sanitation and cleanliness following safety guidelines.
• Assist other kitchen staff and ensure correct prep per recipe books.
• Complete station closing duties and coordinate with Chef on shift end.
• Must check in with MOD before leaving and perform additional duties as assigned.
