The ideal candidate has strong supervisory experience in dining operations, can plan menus, revise cycles, and coordinate with activities to deliver exceptional dining experiences for the membership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with specialized schooling or on-the-job training.
• 2 years related experience and/or training, plus 19 to 23 months related management experience, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• 1. Hire, train, supervise, in-servicing, and terminate staff per policies; promote excellence. 20% time.
• 2. Cook meats, fish and fowl; plate meals accurately; handle special orders; focus on presentation. 20% time.
• 3. Enforce safety and sanitation guidelines; ensure proper storage, labeling, and cleanliness. 20% time.
• 4. Maintain personal hygiene and department dress code; 5% time.
• 5. Ensure Members are pleased with meals and service; visit Dining Room regularly; orientation within 2 weeks of move-in. 5% time.
• 6. Revise menu cycles quarterly; plan menus for one special dinner monthly with Activities; 5% time.
• 7. Seek additional responsibilities; 5% time.
• 8. Supervise department in absence of Director/Managers; 5% time.
• 9. Attend in-service training and members meetings as required; 5% time.
• 10. Report to work; maintain excellent attendance; 5% time.
• 11. Perform other duties as directed; 5% time.
• 12. Perform other related duties as required.
