Job summary

Splendido is seeking a full-time Utility Steward to support the Food and Beverage team by maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen equipment and back-of-house areas, including dishwashing of china, glassware, and silverware.

This safety-sensitive role involves helping with storeroom organization, occasional dining-area support, and adherence to established cleaning procedures. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Understand, retain and apply basic instructions for routine tasks.
• Read and interpret MSDS and labels.
• Perform strenuous physical labor and lifting.
• Be reliable, punctual and provide timely service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, supplies, pots/pans, small wares, china, glass, and silver.
• Operate dishwasher and other kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Clean kitchen floors following standard procedures.
• Apply knowledge of safe use and storage of chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain and record data on required logs per company policies.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning assignments per task lists.
• Empty trash, shift and clean garbage cans, operate compactor.
• Minimize loss and breakage through proper use and storage of equipment.
• Perform duties timely and as scheduled by kitchen/dining operations.
• Identify areas for improvement and participate in QA process improvements.
