Job summary

Sparrow Italia, an Italian-inspired steakhouse, invites a dedicated Food Runner to help maintain the flow between kitchen and front-of-house at our Miami location. You will ensure accurate, timely delivery of dishes, describe modifications confidently, and uphold presentation standards throughout service.

The role requires strong communication, keen attention to detail, and solid menu knowledge. Night, weekend, and holiday availability are expected as part of a fast-paced, fine-dining

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fine-dining or full-service restaurant environment preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions provided in English and assist with guest needs or concerns.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and modifications.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to guests, accurately identifying each dish and verifying order details and modifications.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams to support smooth service flow.
• Verify each order for accuracy, completeness, and presentation prior to delivery.
• Ensure all food is served at the appropriate temperature and in accordance with presentation standards.
• Support table maintenance by assisting with clearing and resetting dishes and utensils as needed.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of service stations and expo areas throughout service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Proactively anticipate the needs of Servers, kitchen staff, and guests during service.
• Complete assigned side work, opening duties, and closing duties as directed.
