Job summary

Major Food Group is hiring Captain Assistants to join Carbone in Miami Beach. The Captain Assistant will support the Captain in table service, assist in setting and resetting tables, and help ensure a memorable dining experience.

This full-time role requires flexible hours (days, nights, weekends, holidays) and the ability to stand for 8 hours and lift 30 lbs. Experience in high-volume or fine dining is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume or fine dining restaurant preferred.
• Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual.
• Full-time flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; lift 30 lbs.
• Proficient with POS systems, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support the Captain in table service and guest interaction.
• Assist in setting and resetting tables per service standards.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and ensure service meets expectations.
• Inspect dining room, table settings, chairs, floors, maintenance, cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining area and service stations.
