Job summary

The Bartender role at Niku Steakhouse within the Omakase Restaurant Group is a frontline position focused on delivering world-class hospitality and flawlessly executing our beverage program. You will support the bar team and demonstrate precise recipe replication in a high-standard setting.

With extensive bartending experience, you will ensure superior guest service and maintain safe, clean bar operations, contributing to an elevated dining experience at Michelin-level venues in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Extensive bartending experience of at least three years, preferably in high-volume, Michelin-starred or fine-dining craft cocktail programs.
• In-depth knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and drink recipes.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with a fast-paced team.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to bar operations.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receives orders from waitstaff serving tables on the floor while managing the patrons at the bar.
• Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered.
• Ensures that opening and closing tasks are completed to the standards of the bar.
• Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and organized with the assistance of the team.
• Follows all established POS procedures and strict cash handling practices.
