Job summary

Urbana Country Club in Urbana, IL, is seeking a Fine Dining Bartender to deliver refined bar service in our upscale dining and cocktail environments, crafting classic and contemporary cocktails and engaging with members and guests.

This role supports both à la carte dining and special events, requires knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails, and emphasizes discretion, cleanliness, and accuracy with transactions using the Club's POS system.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years bartending experience in fine dining or private clubs.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktails.
• Certification: BASSET, TIPS, or ServeSafe required (or within 30 days).
• Excellent interpersonal and professional presence.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• UCC is a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages following club standards.
• Recommend wine, spirits, and cocktails.
• Engage with members in a refined, professional manner.
• Maintain knowledge of beverage lists and features.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen for timely service.
• Process transactions through the POS system.
• Assist with beverage service for private events.
• Support inventory management and stock control.
