Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College in Memphis invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Faculty position in the Department of Communications/Graphic/Fine Arts. The Adjunct Instructor coordinates, plans, prepares, presents and evaluates classroom instruction and related activities on day, evening, or weekend sessions at any campus location.

Pay is $640 per credit hour. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree with a major in art or fine art or 18 graduate hours in art or fine art

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with a major in art or fine art or 18 graduate hours in art or fine art and a Master’s degree in any discipline.
• Two years teaching experience in higher education or one year teaching plus three years in the field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers instruction on topics in Fine Arts.
• Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' work and informs progress.
• Develops curricula and instructional materials such as syllabi and handouts.
• Assists in student recruitment and retention; helps students with course-related problems.
• Maintains attendance records and complies with FERPA regulations.
