Southwest Tennessee Community College is inviting applications for a part-time Adjunct Faculty position in the Department of Communications/Graphic/Fine Arts. The Adjunct Instructor will coordinate, plan, deliver, and evaluate classroom instruction across campus locations, with duties day, evening, or weekend.

The position pays $640 per credit hour and requires a Master’s degree in speech/communication or related fields plus relevant teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech, oratory/rhetoric or communication or 18 graduate semester hours in speech, oratory/rhetoric or communication.
• Two years of teaching experience in higher education or one year teaching and three years in the field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers instruction on topics in Communication.
• Evaluates and grades students’ work fairly and promptly.
• Develops curricula and instructional materials such as syllabi and handouts.
• Assists in student recruitment and retention; helps students with course-related issues.
• Maintains accurate attendance records and FERPA-compliant records.
