Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Personal Banker in the New York area to engage clients in conversations, offer tailored financial wellness guidance, and help grow client relationships. The role emphasizes client-first service, sales drive, and collaboration with branch teams and partners to provide comprehensive banking solutions.

You will open and service consumer and small business accounts, follow compliance processes, and participate in team huddles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent business experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience developing customer relationships and achieving sales goals.
• Understanding of consumer credit including loan-to-value and debt-to-income.
• Experience with sales techniques including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking.
• Strong knowledge of PCs and MS Office; digital platforms literacy.
• Notary license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored financial wellness recommendations to clients.
• Open personal and small business accounts and related deposit products.
• Develop partnerships with branch teammates and business partners to acquire and deepen client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with operational, risk, security, and audit procedures and document interactions.
• Assist with Teller transactions as needed and support branch operations.
• Participate in morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs.
• Work on Saturdays as directed by management.
• Adhere to policies and code of conduct at all times.
