Job summary

BMI FCU is seeking a Financial Coach to provide personalized 1-on-1 coaching to members, develop educational resources, and coordinate workshops and community partnerships. This role supports staff development, promotes financial wellness, and ensures program compliance.

The position focuses on growing the credit union’s financial coaching initiatives, coordinating credentialing, and collaborating with departments to expand impact while delivering exceptional member service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required or higher preferred.
• CCUFC credential required or obtainable.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with financial coaching and education programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct member consultations to assess financial position and plan improvement.
• Keep notes and records of coaching sessions and progress.
• Track and report counseling activities to VP of Business & Community Development.
• Schedule and attend site visits for consultations at members’ worksites or BMI FCU branches.
• Manage communications with members regarding coaching appointments and program updates.
• Develop and monitor the Financial Coaching program and related education resources.
