Job Summary

Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our KeyBank communities. The Financial Wellness Consultant (FWC) is a Banker who also conducts Teller transactions to build relationships, uncover opportunities, and provide guidance and solutions to assist in clients' financial wellness both in person and through proactive calling efforts. FWCs will work toward attracting new clients to Key and work with existing clients to develop and expand relationships based on their unique financial goals. Responsibilities
  • Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially.
  • Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations, both impromptu and through appointment setting, and provide effective and customized financial wellness recommendations to clients.
  • Consistently attain individual activity, behavior, and outcome expectations.
  • Accept and accurately process all financial service transactions, identifying opportunities during transactions to deepen and expand client relationships.
  • Open personal and business accounts (consumer checking, small business, deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, CDs, etc.).
  • Develop strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners, focusing on client acquisition and deepening existing relationships; effectively manage internal and external centers of influence.
  • Ensure compliance with operational, security, and audit procedures and policies, including documentation of client interactions.
  • Participate in and occasionally facilitate morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be added at any time with or without notice.
  • Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, acting professionally, ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of clients and the bank.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required)

Experience: Minimum of 1 year developing customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources through tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking (required). Experience in cash handling (required). Basic understanding of PC with Windows applications and calculator (required). Knowledge of digital technology and ability to educate clients on digital platforms (required). Basic sales and service techniques (required). Understanding of consumer credit (preferred).

Licenses and Certifications: Notary License (preferred)

Driving Requirements

Ability to operate a vehicle with a valid driver’s license occasionally.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate: $24-$30, plus incentive compensation based on performance. Benefits details available upon application.
