Job Summary

Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our KeyBank communities. The Financial Wellness Consultant (FWC) is a Banker who also conducts Teller transactions to build relationships, uncover opportunities, and provide guidance and solutions to assist in clients' financial wellness both in person and through proactive calling efforts. FWCs will work toward attracting new clients to Key and work with existing clients to develop and expand relationships based on their financial goals. Strong teamwork, communication, and confidence are critical for this role. Responsibilities

1. Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate, and recognizing the impact on their personal, professional, and financial lives.
2. Listen for clues during client conversations to identify financial wellness opportunities and provide customized recommendations.
3. Achieve individual activity, behavior, and outcome expectations consistently.
4. Process all financial service transactions accurately, identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships.
5. Open personal and business accounts, including checking, deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, and certificates of deposit.
6. Develop strong partnerships with branch teammates and external contacts to acquire and deepen client relationships.
7. Ensure compliance with operational, security, and audit procedures, documenting client interactions appropriately.
8. Participate in and facilitate daily huddles and debriefs as needed.
9. Perform other duties as assigned, with flexibility for changes.
10. Adhere to all KeyBank policies and act professionally, ethically, and in the best interests of clients and the bank.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required)
• At least 1 year of experience in developing customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources (required)
• Experience in cash handling (required)
• Basic understanding of PC applications and calculators (required)
• Knowledge of digital platforms and ability to educate clients on their use (required)
• Knowledge of sales and service techniques, including prospecting and networking (required)
• Understanding of consumer credit concepts (preferred)

Additional Requirements

• Notary License (preferred)
• Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally
• Valid driver’s license for occasional vehicle operation

Compensation & Benefits
