Pilot Company is seeking a Financial Systems Intern for the Knoxville, TN area for the summer of 2027. This hands-on internship blends accounting and information technology to maintain and enhance core financial systems.

You’ll support general ledger maintenance, work with large data sets, and collaborate across departments to ensure system accuracy and efficient reporting. Ideal candidates are seniors graduating in 2027 with strong Excel and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• A student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Information Technology.
• A senior (set to graduate in May or December 2027) is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to handle and analyze large data sets.
• Experience with other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Infor, Microsoft Access) is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the company.

• A driven and reliable individual who is eager to learn and contribute to a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger system by adding business units, accounts, ledgers, etc.
• Support the team in managing and analyzing large financial data sets.
• Work on projects that require both a financial and a technical perspective.
• Collaborate with various departments across the company to ensure system accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide support to team members on day-to-day tasks related to system maintenance and internal financial reporting.
