Job summary

LoadUp is seeking a Financial Systems Engineer to own our financial systems stack, connecting our platform with payment, CRM, spend management, and GL systems. You’ll automate manual work and build the reporting leadership relies on. This is a full‑time onsite role in Alpharetta, GA.

You’ll design the chart of accounts, implement data models, and integrate Stripe and PayPal. Proficiency in SQL and data modeling, plus Python or Node.js and automation tools, is required.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years in a finance systems, RevOps, or FinOps engineering role
• Strong accounting fluency, including accruals, COA design, and revenue recognition
• Hands-on API integration experience with Stripe and PayPal
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills, plus Python or Node.js and tools Make or Zapier
• A strong sense of ownership and the ability to build systems without a dedicated engineering team
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated pipelines between our platform and the general ledger, with exception handling for unmatched records
• Automate Stripe and PayPal reconciliation, contractor payouts, refunds, chargebacks, and expense coding
• Implement monitoring and data quality checks to prevent silent failures
• Build automated management and board reporting, including P&L by service line and unit economics
• Design the chart of accounts, transaction tagging, and a single source-of-truth data model structured for AI-powered analysis
• Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement tools that reduce manual work
