Job summary

Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, a leading international law firm, seeks a Financial Systems Developer to maintain, support and customize our financial systems within the Finance department. The role requires strong experience with the Aderant Expert suite and a solid understanding of its database tables and structure.

You will develop inquiries and reports, test new customizations, manage interfaces between financial databases and applications, and liaise with IT and business partners.

Qualifications

• Experience with the Aderant Expert suite and knowledge of its database tables and structure.
• Advanced SQL skills and knowledge of SSRS and system integrations.
• Ability to develop inquiries and reports and to test and implement customizations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and customize financial systems: Aderant Expert Classic, Framework, iTimekeep, Expert Image, Generic Importer, Intapp Open, Chrome River, BillBlast and more.
• Develop inquiries and reports as needed.
• Initiate/monitor/document interfaces between financial databases and applications.
• Customize/modify financial systems' front-end and back-end (database).
• Assist with creating and modifying bill templates and check formats.
• Participate in month-end closing activities.
• Assist with testing new customizations, software releases and upgrades.
• Provide Help Desk support for financial systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Serve as liaison with IT and other internal business partners.

Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP is a leading international law firm with more than 900 lawyers in offices throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. We are currently seeking a Financial Systems Developer in the Finance department, reporting to the Financial Systems Manager.

This role is able to work remotely but must reside near the Dallas, New York or Washington, DC office. The Financial Systems Developer will be responsible for assisting with maintaining, supporting and customizing financial systems. The Financial Systems Developer should have experience with the Aderant Expert suite and a working knowledge of its database tables and structure, along with advanced SQL skills and knowledge of SSRS and system integrations. The role will involve creating custom inquiries and reports, testing and implementing customizations, end-user support and working as a liaison with the IT department and other internal business partners. The Financial Systems Developer must be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative and accurately complete projects in a timely fashion.
