Job summary

Indiana Tech seeks a forward-thinking Financial Systems Accountant to join our Fort Wayne finance team. The role focuses on accounting, financial reporting, data analytics, and technology to optimize financial operations.

You will maintain and automate financial applications, develop dashboards, and ensure data integrity across systems, working with departments and external vendors. A Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and strong Excel/ERP skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
• Hands-on experience with ERP, financial reporting, and automation platforms.
• Knowledge of internal controls, GAAP, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end close; manage journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and variance analyses.
• Develop dashboards and reports for cash management, AP, AR, and GL.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support system upgrades, automations, data governance, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate financial coding and reporting.
• Assist with audits by providing data analyses and documentation.
