Job summary

Genie Matthews and Associates seeks a Project Accountant on-site in Fort Wayne, IN to support growing construction operations. You will manage project finances from setup to monthly billing, collaborate with project managers on budgets, risks, and cost savings, and handle vendor compliance, A/P, and sales/use tax.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3–5 years of accounting experience, strong Excel, and excellent verbal communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a MUST.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience.
• Knack for solving problems under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project finances from setup to monthly billing using Sage 300.
• Partner with project managers to track budgets, analyze risks, and spot savings.
• Handle vendor compliance, accounts payable, and sales/use tax.
