Job summary

Dr. Bronner’s is seeking a Financial Specialist to support accounting and financial reporting for charitable giving. You will review invoices, payments and donations, and maintain related party accounting across multiple entities.

The role involves month-end entries, inter-company reconciliations and process improvements. The position is hybrid at our Vista, CA headquarters, offering a starting wage of $90,000–$110,000 depending on experience, with a goal of accurate, compliant financial records

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of direct accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related financial field.
• Experience with ERP systems or similar accounting platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and financial reporting support for charitable giving, reviewing organizations, invoices, payments, tracking and reporting.
• Audit donation receipts for cash and non-cash contributions.
• Maintain accounting for related party entities (Arctic Owl Holdings, Eagle Convocation, Dr. Bronner’s Europe, Bronner Technical Services, Dr. Bronner’s Family Foundation).
• Prepare month-end related party journal entries.
• Assist with inter-company reconciliations and month-end journal entries.
• Provide backup to Banking/Cash Management Specialist.
• Participate in special reporting projects and audits as requested.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and update internal policies and procedures.

Starting Wage

$90,000 -$110,000 yearly depending on experience

Location

Hybrid position working at our Headquarters in Vista, CA twice per week

Responsibilities:

• Provide accounting and financial reporting support for charitable giving by ensuring thorough review of organizations, invoices, payments, tracking, reporting, communication, and electronic record retention. Audit donation receipts for cash and non-cash charitable contributions.
• Maintain accounting for related party entities including Arctic Owl Holdings, Eagle Convocation, Dr. Bronner’s Europe, Bronner Technical Services and Dr. Bronner’s Family Foundation.
• Prepare month-end related party journal entries.
• Assist with inter-company reconciliations and month-end journal entries.
• Provide backup to the Banking/Cash Management Specialist.
• Participate in special reporting projects and audits as requested.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Participate in creation and updating of policies and procedures related to areas of responsibility.
• Actively identify and participate in process improvement initiatives to improve quality of data, minimize unnecessary expense, decrease risk, and improve internal controls.
• Adhere to all department and company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Other duties as assigned within job scope.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of direct experience in accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related financial field
• Working experience in ERP systems or other comparable accounting systems
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, with particularly high skill-level in Excel
