Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. in Beloit, WI seeks a results-driven banking professional to join our Retail Banking team. This role uses a consultative sales process to identify client needs, open deposit products, and help customers achieve their financial goals.

You will originate consumer loan applications, review documents, and collaborate with partners to provide tailored solutions while maintaining strong customer relationships and high service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 3+ years’ experience in the financial industry.
• Must demonstrate understanding of advanced math functions that will allow for analysis of credit and financial information.
• Ability to interpret branch policies and use sound judgment in making decisions.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration may be required via NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales to profile customers and identify financial needs.
• Opens all deposit related products including IRA, Trust, Business, POA, Estate, etc.
• Analyzes and reviews legal documentation for opening accounts.
• Originate consumer loan applications and assist in processing loans.
• May originate Home Equity related products.
• Review consumer credit reports.
• Maintain knowledge of products/services and refer to solutions.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
