Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Glenview, IL is seeking candidates for a Retail Personal Banker II track after a 4-8 week onboarding and education program with rotations in Operations and Sales & Service. Certification will follow to enable the Retail Personal Banker role.

This sales-focused position emphasizes relationship building, cross-selling deposits and loans, and delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to bank policies and risk controls.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills or combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to established customers.
• Must be able to demonstrate understanding of advanced math functions that will allow for analysis of credit and financial information.
• Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in terms of appearance and verbal/written communication.
• Demonstrated ability to develop a working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures in order to utilize good judgment in making sound decisions.
• This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions.
• Use CAM P and Marketing tools to reach out to customers and set appointments for reviews.
• Primarily focused on cross-selling to existing customers and outside sales activities.
• Establish relationships with Business Partners and refer customers for holistic solutions.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals and support revenue growth.
• Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referral processes.
• Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Follow policies and protect confidential information.
• Participate in loan and bankcard processes from application through closing.
• Support opening/closing of Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed by manager.
• Mitigate fraudulent activity and risk while following procedures.
