We are partnering with a premier independent public accounting firm in New York City that is actively seeking a Financial Services Tax Partner to join their leadership team. This is an exceptional opportunity to take a senior role within a collaborative, entrepreneurial firm culture that values expertise, initiative, and long-term growth.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and grow the firm's Financial Services Tax practice, focusing on hedge funds, private equity, broker-dealers, registered investment advisors, and fintech clients
• Oversee complex tax compliance and consulting engagements, including structuring, allocations, partnership taxation, international tax, and SALT issues
• Provide strategic tax planning and guidance to a wide range of asset managers and investment vehicles
• Serve as the primary relationship manager and trusted tax advisor to key clients, ensuring excellent service delivery and identifying opportunities to expand engagements
• Collaborate with firm leadership to shape and execute business development initiatives within the financial services vertical
• Mentor and develop high-performing tax professionals within the team, driving technical excellence and career growth
• Stay at the forefront of regulatory and legislative changes impacting the financial services industry

What We’re Looking For:

• CPA required; MST or JD/LLM a plus
• 12+ years of public accounting experience, primarily focused on tax within financial services
• Demonstrated leadership in managing complex client engagements and high-performing teams
• Strong technical expertise in partnership taxation, fund structures, and investor reporting
• Experience working with closely held and institutional clients across a variety of fund strategies
• Entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative leadership style
