Summary

As a Financial Services Representative, you will play a vital role in customer interactions and providing financial expertise. You will be the first point of contact, guiding customers through their banking needs with a proactive and personalized approach. Your responsibilities include handling transactions, educating customers on self-service options, assisting with basic banking needs, and directing customers to the appropriate next steps. Building strong relationships to enhance customers' financial well-being is key.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provide a range of customer services, including transactions, account servicing, opening new accounts/products, and referring customers to partners.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through meaningful conversations, asking relevant questions, responding to needs, and building trust.
  • Identify basic customer needs proactively and generate high-quality referrals to internal and external partners.
  • Use bank resources to resolve common account or customer issues, escalating unresolved issues for further research, and providing clear, accurate, and timely solutions.
  • Contribute to efficient branch operations by following established processes and guidelines, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Support the bank's strategic growth initiatives across retail banking.
  • Achieve or surpass sales goals through targeted activities, identifying customer needs, and recommending suitable products/services.
  • Engage in ongoing career development via training, coaching, and self-learning opportunities.
  • Participate in bank-sponsored events to increase visibility and contribute to customer acquisition and growth.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college is a plus.
  • Successful customer service and/or sales experience required.
  • Retail banking or related industry experience preferred.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Intermediate customer service, verbal, written, and listening skills.
  • Basic problem-solving, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
  • Understanding of banking products and services.
  • Adaptability and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
Physical and Mental Qualifications
  • Standing, walking, bending, and stooping required.
  • Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods and use a computer.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Periodically work supplemental hours and limited travel.
