Carter Bankshares is seeking a Financial Services Representative II in Mount Airy, NC to build strong relationships with new and existing customers and guide them through banking options. You will balance routine transactions with more complex matters while contributing to growth and customer financial well‑being.

The role emphasizes proactive service, team collaboration, and adherence to banking policies, with opportunities to refer customers to partners and participate in community events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalence required, some college a plus
• Successful customer service and/or sales experience required
• Previous experience in a retail bank or related industry preferred
• Prior cash handling experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Engage customers in financial needs-based conversations, account servicing, and product openings.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience through proactive engagement and meaningful conversations.
• Identify opportunities and generate high-quality referrals to branch associates and partners.
• Assist with resolving complex banking issues through research and cross-department collaboration.
• Follow established processes and guidelines to ensure compliant, efficient branch operations.
• Support branch management and assist other associates within defined authority limits.
• Contribute to growing the bank's retail business and achieving sales goals.
• Attend bank events to enhance visibility and attract new customers.
