Job summary

Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Program Administrator - Financial Services to provide accounting and supervisory services for MCIU clients. The role requires a BS degree (MS preferred) with 5–7 years of progressive experience and a focus on staff supervision, budgeting, and effective stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities include managing general ledger activities, preparing reports, supervising accounts/payroll/grants, and coordinating internal/external audits.

Qualifications

• BS degree required; MS preferred.
• 5–7 years progressive experience; leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Experience overseeing staff and budgets for programs or initiatives.
• Strong interfaces with customers & stakeholders; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assure accuracy of general ledger activity; monthly reconciliations.
• Oversee accounting entries, journal entries, and year-end reports.
• Prepare and supervise state/federal program reports; GASB compliance.
• Supervise accounts payable/receivable, payroll, grants, and accounting.
• Coordinate audits with local, state, and federal authorities; maintain controls.
• Provide training and support for business office staff and clients.
