Job summary

Thrivent is seeking Field interns across locations to shadow seasoned financial advisors, participate in a robust training program, and support involvement in community events and generosity activities. This role helps prepare you for a financial advisor opportunity with case analyses and exposure to industry programs.

Qualifications

• College junior or senior pursuing a degree in business, finance, marketing or related field.
• Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strong oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Thrivent financial advisors during client meetings, workshops, community events and daily work.
• Learn to prepare financial plans and analyses.
• Gain exposure to MoneyGuidePro, Morningstar and other planning software platforms.
• Participate in team meetings with weekly updates, trends and concepts.
• Observe regional seminars and workshops.
• Attend virtual seminars with corporate employees to understand the industry.
• Work with Engagement Team to integrate Thrivent’s generosity programs.
• Collaborate with interns to research and present a project on best practices in building a financial services business.
