Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger activity.
• Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis and business insights.
• Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning initiatives.
• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and a strong internal control environment.
• Coordinate external audits and regulatory reporting activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

• Partner closely with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning initiatives
• Manage, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain a strong internal control environment
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency
• Coordinate external audit activities and support regulatory reporting requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic business objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
• Insurance industry experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
