Job description

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join the business at an important stage in the development of its finance function. This is a broad, influential position offering the opportunity to strengthen financial reporting, improve systems and processes, and help guide the transition towards a more sophisticated GAAP-based reporting environment.

You will have exposure to a complex, multi-entity investment platform and the opportunity to influence how financial information is produced, analyzed and used across the business.

You'll also have direct responsibility for developing a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, with the potential to build a larger team as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and improve GAAP-based financial and management reporting.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements across multiple entities and ownership structures.
  • Support the transition from tax-basis accounting to GAAP reporting.
  • Strengthen financial controls, reporting accuracy and data integrity.
  • Partner with Treasury and senior finance leadership on debt reporting and capital-structure initiatives.
  • Investigate financial variances and identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes.
  • Mentor and develop a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst.
About You

We're interested in candidates with approximately 7-15 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience, although the depth of your experience is more important than the exact number of years.

You’ll bring:
  • Strong technical accounting and US GAAP financial reporting expertise.
  • Experience preparing consolidated financial statements.
  • A background in public accounting, financial reporting or corporate accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and an interest in financial systems and data.
  • Strong analytical skills and the confidence to investigate complex financial information.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Big Four or comparable public accounting experience is preferred, but not essential.

Candidates moving directly from public accounting are encouraged to apply.

Real estate experience is beneficial but not required.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a financially established, privately held business while playing a meaningful role in the continued development of its finance function.

You’ll benefit from close exposure to senior leadership, the opportunity to develop a team and the ability to influence reporting processes and systems across a substantial investment platform.

For someone who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with problem-solving, collaboration and continuous improvement, this role offers an attractive next step.
