Job summary

Vaco is partnering with a publicly traded client in Atlanta to fill a manager-level SEC reporting position. The ideal candidate will have strong SEC experience and a track record of leadership potential to grow within the organization.

Responsibilities include preparing SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Proxy, S-8), accounting for equity and debt transactions, assisting month-end close, and maintaining support for all disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Public accounting experience or equivalent in industry with public company exposure required.
• CPA certification is required.
• Strong SEC experience and ability to meet deadlines is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the SEC filings, including the10-K,10-Q, 8-K, Proxy, and S-8s.

• Perform accounting for equity transactions,stock-based compensation arrangements, debt transactions,investment transactions,acquisition and divestiture transactions,annual impairment and ad-hoc testing of goodwill.

• Assist with month end close and prepare information to support budgets and forecasts.

• Maintain support for all publicly filed financial statements and disclosures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• Public accounting experience

• CPA

• Publicly traded company experience (either within public accounting or industry)

• Strong SEC experience and exposure

• Ability to meet deadlines
