Job summary

sci in Houston, TX seeks an Equity and Financial Reporting Specialist to support the preparation of Form 10-Q and 10-K and related SEC filings, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate equity accounting, including stock-based compensation.

You will coordinate with internal departments and external auditors, prepare supporting schedules, perform variances, reconcile equity GL accounts, and assist with Workiva-based reporting and XBRL tagging, contributing to timely quarterly and annual financial

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
At least two (2) years of public accounting or Financial Reporting experience.
Knowledge and application of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and FASB standards.

Responsibilities

Prepares and records equity-related journal entries, including stock-based compensation and other equity transactions, ensuring GAAP-compliant treatment.
Downloads, reviews, and analyzes Shareworks and other equity-related information to support journal entries, reconciliations, and SEC reporting.
Reconciles equity-related general ledger accounts, investigates variances, and ensures accuracy of recorded activity.
Performs variance analysis within financial statements, using tools to support reporting and collaboration with accounting and other departments.
Prepares and maintains SEC filing schedules and supporting disclosures for Form 10-Q, 10-K, 11-K, and Proxy.
Assists with Workiva-based SEC reporting and XBRL tagging; supports quarterly and annual disclosures and investor relations materials.
