Job summary

NewFirst, a community bank in Texas, seeks an Accounting and Data Analyst / Process Designer to support the Senior Controller with data analysis, financial reporting, and automation of manual processes. You will develop dashboards, refine reconciliation procedures, and implement analytical tools across data sources to improve accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and 3–5 years in accounting/financial analysis with strong Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience preferred.
• 3–5 years in accounting, financial reporting, or financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and risks.
• Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
• Automate manual processes and improve efficiency of financial reporting.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and disclosures.
• Perform account reconciliations and assist month-end close.
• Provide backup for core accounting functions and internal controls.
