Job summary

Finance & Accounting Director I for the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles' Division of Administrative Services, Bureau of Accounting.

The incumbent manages financial reporting, fixed assets, grants and contracts reimbursements, and supervises five staff members while independently performing specialized accounting work that includes designing financial policies, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and GAAS standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and GAAS standards.
• Experience with state accounting systems (FLAIR) and Florida PALM.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and reconcile accounts.
• Supervisory experience managing accounting staff.
• Experience preparing financial statements and Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports.
