What You’ll Actually Do

• Financial Statement Preparation: Work under direct supervision to prepare annual, semi-annual, and quarterly financial statements as required by the fund.
• Disclosure Drafting: Draft financial statement footnote disclosures and prepare financial highlight disclosures, including calculations of total returns and expense ratio analysis.
• Accuracy Verification: Perform detailed analysis of the financial statements to verify their accuracy against accounting records.
• Regulatory Reporting: Compile and advise on various monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports, such as Form PF and Form SLT.
• Audit & Relationships: Maintain audit support schedules throughout the year and contribute to strong regulatory reporting relationships with internal parties, clients, and audit firm personnel.

The Must-Haves

• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with a minimum of 9 accounting credits.
• Experience: No specific years required, but previous financial statement preparation experience is desirable.
• Skills: Good communication skills and a working knowledge of Excel and Word are essential.
• Bonus: Relevant accounting internship experience in an Audit Firm, Hedge Fund, or similar environment, and/or experience working in a Fund Administrator, Mutual Fund, or other financial institution where financial products knowledge has been gained.
