Job summary

Ascend Talent Partners is partnering with a publicly traded company to identify an SEC Reporting Analyst to join its corporate accounting team.

This role offers hands‑on exposure to 10-K and 10-Q filings, MD&A, GAAP, and SEC research within a sophisticated public company environment, including SOX compliance and collaboration with external auditors.

Hybrid: 4 days per week in office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3–5 years of public accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical, and deadline‑driven.

Responsibilities

• Prepare SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) and related footnotes.
• Conduct GAAP and SEC research to support financial reporting.
• Assist with SOX controls and interaction with external auditors.

You will gain hands‑on exposure to 10-K and 10-Q filings, financial statement footnotes, MD&A, GAAP and SEC research, SOX compliance, external auditors, and other key financial reporting initiatives.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3–5 years of public accounting and/or financial reporting experience
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
• SEC reporting or SEC research experience is a plus
• CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
• Detail‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a deadline‑driven environment
