Base pay range

$64.00/hr - $65.00/hr

Position Overview

Our client, an Investment Bank, is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst in Boston, MA. The role involves preparing financial statements and regulatory filings, supporting fund expense analysis, and assisting in financial administration tasks. In European offices, the analyst may also mentor junior staff and support the Financial Administration Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft financial statements and regulatory forms (N-SAR, N-Q24F-2, N-CSR)
• Maintain reporting calendars and deadlines
• Prepare and review fund expense proformas, invoices, and accruals
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders on accrual adjustments
• Assist in board book and procedures manual preparation
• Report fund performance data to management and publications
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations (Investment Company Act of 1940, Internal Revenue Code, GAAP, SEC Regulation S-X)
• Monitor regulatory developments and their impact on reporting
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding deadlines and project status
• Review junior team members’ work and ensure compliance with policies
• Develop knowledge of EDGAR and Merrill Reports
• Suggest system improvements for compliance and efficiency
• Perform special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business or related field
• 5-7 years of mutual fund accounting or related experience, including 3-5 years in financial reporting
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration
• Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment
