Job summary

USDA's Financial Management Division, Financial Systems and Reporting Branch, seeks a subject matter expert in accounting policy to support financial statement preparation and external reporting to Treasury.

You will reconcile the general ledger, assist with trial balances and statements, and coordinate with the OIG during audits. You will provide technical guidance on accounting controls and reporting responsibilities, and analyze financial issues to propose actionable solutions.

Qualifications

• Accounting policy expertise relevant to federal accounting and reporting.
• Experience preparing and reconciling financial statements and notes.
• Ability to support external reporting to Treasury and internal management.
