Job summary

Opportune LP in Houston, TX seeks a Financial Reporting Accountant to support the month-end close, prepare timely financial statements, and provide reporting analysis for clients.

Job description

The Financial Reporting Accountant will serve as a key member of the Financial Reporting team and will be responsible for assisting with the month-end close process, and the preparation of timely financial statements for clients. This position is in our Houston office with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following (as needed):

• Support and prepare required accounting journal entries


• Develop reports and provide analysis for clients and staff


• Perform monthly and quarterly variance analysis and account reconciliations


• Support the financial reporting close process

Qualifications:

• This position requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting.


• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the finance and reporting related activities. Experience within the Oil & Gas value chain or Public Accounting will be a plus.


• Must have strong professional presence and effective verbal/written communication.


• Exceptional time-management, planning and administrative skills are required.


• Proficiency with BOLO and Excel is preferred.
