Qualificações

• Experience preparing financial statements, GL reconciliations, and supporting close.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting or consolidations.
• Strong Excel skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
• Upstream oil and gas industry experience preferred.
• CPA designation or public accounting exposure is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual financial statements for multiple entities under US GAAP.
• Support financial close activities: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, schedules.
• Manage intercompany accounting: balance reconciliations, eliminations, settlements.
• Develop financial reporting packages, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Assist with accounting for upstream acquisitions/divestitures and related entries.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and process improvements.
• Support audits and other reporting requirements as needed.

Walker Elliott is partnering with an upstream oil and gas company in Fort Worth seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join its accounting team. This opportunity is well suited for an accounting professional with approximately 5+ years of experience who enjoys financial reporting, working across multiple entities, and supporting acquisition and divestiture activity.

The position offers exposure to both traditional financial accounting and transaction-related responsibilities, with the opportunity to contribute to the company's broader financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual financial statements for multiple legal entities in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Support financial close activities, including journal entries, accruals, general ledger reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Manage intercompany accounting activities, including balance reconciliations, consolidation eliminations, and intercompany settlements.
• Develop financial reporting packages, management reports, and variance analyses to support financial and operational decision-making.
• Assist with accounting for upstream acquisitions and divestitures, including purchase price allocations, transaction entries, and related adjustments.
• Collaborate with internal accounting and finance personnel to ensure accurate reporting, resolve discrepancies, and improve financial processes.
• Support financial audits, special accounting projects, and additional reporting requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with consideration for candidates ready to advance into a senior-level role.
• Experience preparing financial statements, performing general ledger reconciliations, and supporting financial close activities.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, or financial consolidations.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
• Previous upstream oil and gas industry experience strongly preferred.
• CPA designation, public accounting experience, or exposure to acquisition and divestiture accounting is a plus.
