Job summary

Spectrum Search Group is partnering with a REIT in Uptown Dallas to identify a Financial Reporting Accountant. The role reports to the Controller and CFO and focuses on financial reporting, process improvement, and strategic initiatives.

Key qualifications include public accounting experience, CPA or CPA-track progress, and exposure to SEC reporting. The role may include stock-based compensation and a bonus based on experience, with emphasis on accuracy and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Public accounting experience is preferred.
• CPA certification or CPA-track is highly preferred.
• Experience with SEC reporting or public company exposure is a plus.
• Workiva or ActiveDisclosure experience is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

Job description

Spectrum Search is working closely with a REIT in Uptown Dallas looking to add a Financial Reporting Accountant. This role works directly with the Controller and CFO, and plays a key part in financial reporting, process improvement, and ad hoc projects/initiatives.

This role will wear several hats, interact with other divisions, and have quite a bit of visibility.

Responsibilities:

• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting
• Assist with SEC filings and technical accounting research
• Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders
• Help improve reporting processes and controls

Experience:

• Public accounting experience preferred
• CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
• SEC reporting or public company exposure a plus
• Experience with Workiva or ActiveDisclosure is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Depending on experience and skill set, this role will pay $95k-$110k + $10-15k bonus + stock-based compensation.
