Spectrum Search Group is assisting a Dallas‑based REIT client in filling a Controller role. This position partners directly with the CFO and drives financial reporting, process improvements, and strategic ad hoc initiatives.

The role requires CPA and REIT experience, with strong technical accounting skills and a proven ability to manage complex reporting and controls in a fast‑moving environment. Competitive compensation with substantial bonus and stock components is offered.

Qualifications

• Assist with forecasts and cash flow planning, including weekly reporting.
• Lead internal controls and process documentation as the company scales.
• Coordinate with external auditors.
• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Work within Yardi and Active Disclosure environments.

Spectrum Search is working closely with a REIT in Dallas looking to add a Controller. This role works directly with the CFO and plays a key part in financial reporting, process improvement, and ad hoc projects/initiatives.

This role will wear several hats, interact with other divisions, and have quite a bit of visibility.

Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with the CFO on reporting, analysis, and ad hoc strategies
• Support quarterly and SEC reporting, tie-outs to the 10-Q, and earnings support
• Handle lease accounting, net leases, and forward function for REITs
• Assist with forecasts and cash flow planning, including weekly reporting
• Lead internal controls and process documentation as the company scales
• Coordinate with external auditors
• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives
• Work within Yardi and Active Disclosure environments

Experience:

Depending on experience and skill set, this role will pay $140k-$155k + 15-20% bonus + stock-based compensation.
