Job summary

Allworth Financial, an independent investment advisory firm, invites motivated individuals pursuing CFP designation to join our summer internship program. You will provide supportive service to our on-plan asset management clients under CFP supervision.

This paid, part-time internship pays $20/hour, with hybrid schedule, about 25 hours per week, running May/June through August/September. You will cross-train across departments, assist Associate Advisor, and learn to develop financial plans and

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS/BA in Financial Planning, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• In pursuit of CFP designation.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrates ability to learn related financial and office programs and systems.

Responsibilities

• Cross trains with various departments to understand Allworth's business model.
• Works closely with an Associate Advisor to develop skills.
• Helps create and implement financial plans for clients.
• Spend time assisting the Client Service Team.
• Performs various tasks and research relating to casework and business operations.
• Responds to clients’ questions under CFP supervision.
• Shadows Financial Advisor during client appointments to gain advisory training.
• Attends company events, workshops and seminars.
