Job summary

Allworth Financial is seeking motivated individuals for a paid, part-time internship to pursue the CFP designation and receive training to assist on-plan asset management clients under supervision. The program is summer-only, with a hybrid schedule and working hours roughly 8:00am–5:00pm for about 40 hours per week.

Interns will cross-train across departments, work closely with an Associate Advisor, and help develop financial plans while supporting the Client Service Team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS/BA in Financial Planning, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Pursuing CFP designation.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Strong communication, teamwork and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to learn financial and office programs and systems.

Responsibilities

• Cross-trains with various departments to understand Allworth Financial’s business model.
• Work with an Associate Advisor to develop skills and learn job duties.
• Help create and implement financial plans for clients.
• Assist Client Service Team as needed.
• Perform research and tasks related to casework and operations.
• Under CFP supervision, answer client questions on financial planning areas.
• Shadow Advisors to gain advisory training.
• Attend company events, workshops, and seminars.
