Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, data analytics or related field plus 3 years of financial analysis/forecasting experience.
• Master's degree is preferred and advantageous.

The analyst supports the Division of Student Life by building financial models and forecasts that inform capital planning and long-term financial sustainability. The role reports directly to the division's Unit Business Officer and acts as the officer's analytical extension.

Highlights

• Build financial models, test funding strategies and scenarios, and assess risks and opportunities tied to capital investments and the division's operations.
• Turn complex financial information into decision tools for divisional leadership and run ad hoc analyses for the Unit Business Officer.
• Support a capital reporting framework that tracks project budgets, funding sources, expenditures, changes, and remaining funds.
• Serve as the division's main resource for reserve analysis, occupancy and revenue forecasting, and long-range sustainability planning.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, data analytics, or a related field and three years of financial analysis, forecasting, or budgeting experience are required.
• Financial modeling experience and advanced Excel skills are needed.
• Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, higher education experience, capital planning and reserve analysis, business intelligence and data visualization tools, and familiarity with SUNY and Research Foundation funding.
• Salary ranges from $70,841 to $83,000.
