Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group is seeking a Financial Planning and Cost Analyst to support the finance department with comprehensive planning, analysis, and reporting for manufacturing units and company forecasts.

The role requires at least 5 years of accounting experience in manufacturing, strong data analysis skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Travel may be required, and a competitive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, primarily in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of government procurement regulations that affect accounting systems.
• Working knowledge of forecasting, financial reports, data collection, data analysis, and evaluation.
• Ability to interpret economic conditions and impact on the organization.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay on task.
• Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assigned month end journal entries and balance monthly books.
• Prepare financial statements and reports such as balance sheet and income statement.
• Ensure accuracy of statements and assist with consolidation software.
• Analyze financial data for efficiency and to verify accuracy.
• Develop statistical and written reports for management.
• Work with budget center managers on cost center expenses.
• Assist in developing financial plan and forecast.
• Review budgets and provide supporting documentation.
• Evaluate accounting systems and procedures; assist with special projects.
• Other tasks as assigned.

What you’ll do:

SUMMARY:

TheFinancial Planning and Cost Analyst position is responsible for supporting the financedepartment with a broad range of financial planning including analyzing andreporting results of financial data for company’s respective business units and the company against plan, forecast, budgets, and trends toexplain financial results.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare assignedmonth end journal entries; support monthly, quarterly, and annual balancing of books andmonthly account reviews
• Prepare financial statements and related reports such as balance sheet, income statement, budgets, and variance analysis. Provide reports to the Business Unit Leadership team.
• Ensure accuracy ofprepared financial statements to consolidation software; recommendreports/tools for process improvements
• Analyze financial data for business efficiencies and to verify accuracy
• Assist in developing statistical and written reports for management
• Work with budget center managers to develop and support their respective costcenter expenses
• Assist in the development of a financial plan and forecast
• Review budget proposals and prepare necessary supporting documentation andjustification of proposed budgets
• Review, evaluate, and suggest accounting systems, policies, and procedures
• Assist with special projects, as requested
• Other tasks as assigned

What you need to be successful:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Finance, orrelated field
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, primarily in a manufacturingenvironment
• Understanding of the fundamentals of government procurement regulations thateffect accounting systems
• Working knowledge of forecasting, financial reports, data collection, dataanalysis, and evaluation
• Demonstrated ability to interpret economic conditions and anticipate the impact on the organization
• Strong and consistent attention to detail

• Intermediate computer skills are required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
