We are seeking a driven and detail-focused Financial Planning Associate who thrives in a collaborative, client-centered environment. As part of our dedicated financial planning team, you will build your technical mastery, provide support to our planners, and actively contribute to the advanced planning process. You will be responsible for anticipating advisor and client needs, solving problems as they arise, and ensuring all agreed-upon deliverables are completed accurately and on time. In addition, you will provide timely and precise support through research, plan development, meeting preparation, attendance and note-taking, reporting, analysis, and the accurate entry and maintenance of data within financial planning systems. Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-up and follow-through skills are essential, as this role plays a key part in maintaining a seamless client experience.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are eager to be challenged, committed to ongoing professional growth, and interested in joining a firm that offers a clearly defined career path. With mentorship from an experienced advisory team, you will have the opportunity to deepen your financial planning expertise while building the skills necessary to progress into a client-facing planner role over time including a path to partnership.

General Responsibilities:
  • Create personalized proposals using proprietary templates, including drafting, editing, and assembling final deliverables
  • Debrief client meetings, gather required data, and assist in identifying gaps, issues, or planning opportunities through data review and analysis
  • Input and maintain client information within financial planning software (eMoney), ensuring accuracy and consistency across records
  • Support client onboarding into eMoney, including account aggregation setup, virtual vault organization, and coordination with outside advisors when appropriate
  • Scan, organize, and maintain client documents within virtual vaults and internal folders, ensuring proper organization and compliance standards are met
  • Prepare and process planning agreements, disclosures, and related payment workflows using AdvicePay, while maintaining the client planning fee log
  • Develop, update, and maintain planning templates to ensure accuracy, compliance, and relevance in a continuously evolving regulatory and planning environment
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of comprehensive financial plans, including updating client data, building supporting documentation, and assembling final deliverables across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and planning systems
  • Support annual tax summary reporting for select clients, including compilation of documentation, delivery to clients and accountants, and proper archiving in client vaults
  • Participate in weekly practice management meetings and ongoing training initiatives, including internal meetings, industry education, and professional development opportunities (in-person, virtual, and off-site)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, financial planning, or a related field
  • 0-3 years of experience in the wealth management industry
  • Genuine interest in financial planning and a desire to develop both the technical expertise and emotional intelligence necessary to be successful within the wealth management industry
  • Ability to obtain SIE, Series 7, Series 66, and Life & Health insurance licenses within the first year, with CFP certification progression beginning in year two
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude, a high level of personal accountability, and a consistent focus on meeting deadlines
  • Collaborative team player committed to delivering exceptional client service and ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across clients and team members
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, particularly in managing complex workflows, documentation, and process-driven work
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple responsibilities, and complete work accurately within time-sensitive deadlines
